crazy about this pc game: Symphonic rain.
this entry is wholly on that, so be prepared to be lost. (:
it's really a nice game. thou i cheated quite a bit with hints everywhere and setting it to auto mode. wahahas. but den again, the characters are just so different..
lisel. poor girl. althou it's the most unrealistic story of all. i symphathise with her but somehow it doesnt strike me as them being a good couple. chris and lisel. it's something more like brotherly affection.. it's not that i dun approve of their union, but maybe just that chris pities her. and takes it upon himself to take care of her. after all, she has nowhere to turn to. not to her biological father that is..
tortinita. everything she does, it's for chris. it probably has to be the ending i prefer out of all three. her playing arietta and the letters, i kinda predicted something like that. i did say i prefer her ending, but i din say i liked it. it's okay i guess, but something at the back of my mind tells me that's not how i want it to end..
faru. i like her ending the least. no. i dun hate nor dislike her thou. it's the most realistic yet unpredictable ending of all. it makes it forgivable but unforgettable. yup, can forgive cannot forget seems to be the most appropriate thing to say. unhappy past, no one to guide her thru. so to a certain extent, im glad she made it. thou i cant understand why Chris was willing to go with her. continue being used. there's a part of him that likes faru, yet another part.. somehow resigned to who she is. i cant tell if he truly likes her for who she is, but i know he wants to fulfil her dream. probably to chris, it's enough. there's no need to consider further.
phorni. i love her. chris is different with her. maybe cause she's a fairy? er. some sort. the light teasing, occasional tantrums. i love it all. both characters build upon each other.. it's hard to explain. just a nice feeling. chris is perhaps the most comfortable with her. honesty, trust. the simple understanding without the need to exchange words. i like it all. probably the best ending. (:
chris. superbly understanding and gentle for a boy. putting others before self. but his decisions are mainly based on others. To Arietta, he feels she's the weaker of the twins and needs his care, so he chose her. To lisel, she needs someone to watch over her, to protect her. Chris chose to be her protector. To faru, she needs someone, esp of chris calibre to help her achieve her dreams. for this, chris accepted her. To tortinita, perhaps guilt. of all the characters, this is one which i cant come to any conclusion. she suffered for years. maybe chris wanted to make it up? or the other way, he finally chose someone he truly liked and not out of obligation? maybe. To phorni (Arietta) in the true story, probably that's the best. after all the twists and turns, back to square one. yea.
there, im done.. some reflections from this game will go into my diary. (:
